The Regency Ballroom

The 1909 Scottish Rite temple at Van Ness and Sutter turned ballroom, roughly 1,400 GA with a gorgeous horseshoe balcony and 35-foot ceilings. AEG/Goldenvoice books it with touring electronic acts, bands and the occasional rave-scale production. Ornate, chandelier-lit and genuinely beautiful inside; most shows are all-ages and tickets run through AXS. No venue parking lot — plan on a garage or BART to Civic Center.
